Microparticles made from zein, a corn-based protein, at multiple levels of magnification. The microparticles house nanoparticles that collectively protect DNA against the rigors of the stomach and intestine, an important step toward delivering vaccines and gene therapies in pill form.

Fell was honored as the Outstanding Student Organization Member for his work with Engineering Student Advisory Board (eSAB) and also accepted the award for Program of the Year, given to eSAB for E-Week.

Through the use of a 3-D camera, a team of computer engineering and computer science students is developing an application that will allow farm workers to monitor the health of individual pigs.
