Klaasmeyer Chair in Engineering and Technology, and director of the Nebraska Transportation Center and Mid-America Transportation Center, has been awarded an Innovation, Development and Engagement Award from the University of Nebraska.

Developing new barrier material could make nuclear waste disposal safer proposition

Wittich studies derecho impact with eye toward improving silo design
February 11, 2021 - In August 2020, a deadly derecho swept the Plains - with straight-line winds, torrential rain and hail, and tornadoes - and caused $7.5 billion in damage. Christine Wittich is working to help communities be less susceptible to natural hazards.  Full Story
